This documentation explains how to change the contact email address associated with your LWS customer account from your customer area.

This email address is used to receive important information related to your account, such as certain notifications or security validations.
This procedure does not modify the mailboxes for your hosting, your domain name or your website.

Before you start

Before making any changes, please make sure that you have the following information:

  • you can log in to your LWS customer area;
  • You know the email address currently registered on your account;
  • You have access to your old email address and your new email address;
  • the new email address entered is correct and accessible.

For security reasons, changes to the contact email address must be confirmed. A validation email is sent to the old and new email addresses to confirm the change.

When should I use this procedure?

This procedure is useful if, for example, you want to :

  • replace an old email address that you no longer use ;
  • use a more recent email address to receive LWS notifications;
  • correct an error in the contact email address registered on your account.

How to change your contact email address

Step 1: Log in to your LWS customer area

Go to your LWS / LWS Panel customer area and log in with your login details.

Step 2: Go to the change contact details section

Once logged in :

1. Click on the LWS ID for your account at the top right of the interface.

2. In the menu that appears, click on "Edit contact details".

After validation, a confirmation email is sent :

  • to your old email address;
  • to your new email address.

Check that the change has been taken into account

To check that everything is correct

  1. log back into your LWS customer area;
  2. Go back to the "Edit contact details" section;
  3. check that the new email address appears in the contact field.

Important

The change may not be finalised until the requested email confirmation has been sent.
As a general rule, the change will take effect once the confirmation email has been validated.

What this procedure does not change

Changing the contact email address of your LWS customer account does not change:

  • the mailboxes created on your hosting
  • the content of your website
  • emails already stored in your inboxes;
  • the services associated with your account.

Common problems and solutions

I can no longer access my old email address

If you can no longer access your old email address, you will not be able to follow the standard confirmation procedure.

In this case, use the dedicated procedure provided by LWS to change the contact email address without access to the old address.

I have not received the confirmation email

Check the following points:

  • Look in your Junk Mail / Spam folder;
  • Check that the new email address you have entered is correct;
  • wait a few minutes and then check your inbox again.

If no message arrives and the situation persists, repeat the procedure with a correctly entered address.

I can't connect to my customer area

If you can't log in, you won't be able to change your details from your account.
You must first recover access to your customer area before repeating the procedure.

I want to change an email address linked to my hosting

This documentation does not apply to business email addresses or email addresses linked to a domain name.

It only concerns the contact email address for the LWS customer account.
If you want to change a mailbox on your hosting, you will need to follow the specific email management documentation.

Conclusion

Bonjour, il n'est pas possible de désactiver une adresse e-mail Pro sans la supprimer. Vous pouvez la supprimer en vous rendant sur votre espace client LWS, cliquez sur "Gérer" se trouvant derrière le nom de domaine concerné puis sur "Administrations Emails". Cliquez ensuite sur "Action/Supprimer" se trouvant derrière l'adresse email en question. Notez que la suppression est irréversible et que tous les emails seront supprimés. Vous pouvez également, mettre en place un répondeur automatique sur l'adresse email expliquant que cette dernière n'est plus utilisé pour le moment en vous rendant sur le Webmail de l'adresse en question puis sur "Paramètres/Filtres". je n'arrive pas à mon modifier mon numéro je reçois le code par sms mais en vain j'ai plus accès à mon mail. Prière de m'orienter dans les brefs délais car tout les domaines stockés à ce compte sont bloqués

Bonjour, si vous n'avez plus accès à votre adresse email pour pouvoir recevoir les informations de connexion à votre espace client LWS, je vous invite à vous rendre sur le lien https://panel.lws.fr/frperte.php et cliquez sur l'onglet "Je n'ai plus accès à la boite mail associé à mon compte client, modifier celle-ci". Il vous faudra ensuite suivre la procédure de modification de l'adresse email et passer l'étape de vérification de niveau 2.

Le changement de l'adresse email de contact de votre espace client n'aura aucun impact sur le contenu de votre espace client, ni celui de votre site internet. En effet, il s'agit de deux choses totalement différentes.
