To carry out the installation, you first need to identify yourself on your NAS server and then complete the following steps:

Step 1: Access the"Package Centre" on the NAS server

Step 2: Once in the Package Centre, search for "Hyper Backup"(1) then click on "Install" in the button below the Hyper Backup application(2).

Once the application has been installed, you can open it directly from the Package Centre or return to the dashboard where the application icon appeared.

II. Create a task to synchronise data from your NAS to the LWS Cloud Drive

Once the Hyper Backup application has been installed on your NAS, you can create a synchronisation task that will allow you to synchronise the desired data between the two servers.

To do this, follow these steps:

Step 1: In the left-hand menu, click on"+".

Step 2: Select"Folders and packages" (1) then click"Next" (2)

Step 3: Select the type of destination space by scrolling through the different types until you select"rsync" (1). Finally, click"Next" (2) to move on to the next step.

Step 4: At this stage, you have the choice of making backups by keeping several complete versions or making one by keeping a single version that will be updated each time the task is run (1). Step 5: Fill in the various configuration and connection details (1) :

• Name or IP address: Enter the host name that was sent to you by email when your Cloud Drive LWS was delivered.
• Server type: Select "rsync compatible server".
• Transfer encryption: Select "Enabled".
• Port : Enter 22.
• User name and password : Fill in the credentials that were sent to you by email when your Cloud Drive LWS was delivered.
• Backup module : Select"default".

Once you have completed this configuration, click on the"Next" button (2).

Step 6: Select the folders on your NAS (1) to be backed up, then click "Next" (2).

Step 7: Choose whether you also want to back up applications installed on your NAS, then click "Next".

Step 8: At this stage, you need to give your task a name so that you can find it later and a name for the folder that will be created on the LWS Cloud Drive and will contain the backed-up data (32 characters maximum).

You will then be able to find your data on the Cloud Drive LWS server by following the tree structure: /files/Nom_Dossier_Distant_CloudDrive_LWS

This step also lets you configure various rules relating to the synchronisation task:

• Bandwidth limit: allows you to limit the speed of data transmission so as not to monopolise the internet connection if it is shared with other uses.
• Reserve backed-up files at destination : deletes files in Cloud Drive if they have also been deleted from the NAS.
• Enable transfer compression: The volume of data transmitted will be smaller, which helps to limit data consumption, but may slow down the synchronisation process due to the file compression and decompression stage.

Finally, you can choose when the synchronisation should take place.

You can choose :

• not to schedule this task by unchecking the "Backup schedule" box
• you can schedule your task to run periodically.

You can then schedule your task to run daily or weekly by selecting the desired day(s).

Once you have made your settings, click"Next".

Step 7: You will then receive a summary of the task's configuration. Simply click on "Done" to make the creation of the task definitive.

Once the task has been created, you have the option of waiting for the next schedule to execute the task, or performing the first synchronisation immediately.
