How do I upload or download files using the File Manager?

This documentation guides you through the steps for uploading and downloading files using the LWS Panel's file manager.

I. Accessing the desired location

The file manager is accessed directly from your hosting management in your LWS Panel account. We recommend that you follow this documentation to find out how to do this.

Next, navigate to the destination folder where you want to upload a new item or download an existing item.

1. Use the tree structure on the left side of the interface (1) to navigate to the folder where you want to place or upload a file.
2. Click on the folder (2) to open it and display its contents in the main panel (3).

II. Loading Files

Open the Upload Option

• In the top navigation bar, click on the "Upload" button.

• A dialog box with an upload section(3) will appear, allowing you to select files from your computer.

You will not be able to upload files larger than the size indicated(1). In all cases, files larger than 500 MB will be regularly deleted in accordance with our General Terms and Conditions. Their presence on your hosting can therefore only be temporary.

You can also specify whether the file should overwrite the one on the hosting if it has the same name(2).

• Once you have clicked on the"Select a file" button, your computer will display a window allowing you to choose one or more documents to upload to the hosting.

• Once you have selected the documents(1), confirm the upload by clicking(2). The files will be uploaded to your hosting.

• Wait until the upload is complete. You will see a progress bar indicating that the upload is complete. Click on the back link to return to the file manager.

• The uploaded files will now appear in the main panel of the selected folder.

III. Downloading Files

• In the main panel, select the file you wish to download. You can only upload one file at a time.

• Once you have selected the file, click on the"Download" button (2) in the top navigation bar. The button will remain greyed out if you select more than one file.
• The file or files will then be downloaded to your computer in your browser's default destination folder.
