What is Oscommerce?

OsCommerce is a free, open-source solution under the GNU General Public Licence, which allows you to set up an online shop without any programming knowledge.

OsCommerce was created in March 2000. The oscommerce.com website boasts more than 12,000 professional sites worldwide.

The software offers a series of basic functions that meet the main needs of most online businesses. OsCommerce relies on its community of users and developers to evolve and improve pragmatically as needs change.

How do I install the latest version of Oscommerce?

1. Log in to your LWS customer area

2. Click on the"Servers" tab at the top of the page.

3. Click on the"Manage" button behind the server for which you wish to install OSCommerce.

4. Click on the "Softaculous" button to install the software.

5. Click on the "Install" button in the new window to confirm the installation of Softaculous.

6. Once Softaculous has been installed, click on"Administration Panel" to go to ISPConfig.

7. Click on"Tools" in the top menu of your ISPConfig interface.

8. Click on"Softaculous" in the left-hand menu of your interface.

9. Search for the OSCommerce software using the search bar at the top left of the Softaculous interface.

10. Click on the"Install Now" button.

11. Fill in the fields as follows:

1. Choose the installation URL for your site
2. Fill in the information relating to your shop
3. Fill in your login details (username, password and email address).

Then click on the "Install" button to proceed with the installation of OSCommerce.
