You may wish to recover the GANDI transfer code for a domain hosted by them in order to change provider. Before recovering the code, it is advisable tomake a backup of your web data (site and database) to avoid any loss. The Auth code will enable you to transfer your domain name to LWS.
The transfer process varies from one TLD to another and each case may be specific. Contact GANDI support if you are unsure.
The Gandimail service is associated with your domain name and will cease to function as soon as the domain has been transferred out of GANDI. The mailboxes (and their contents) linked to this domain will be deleted without any possibility of recovery 7 days later, so remember to back them up before initiating the transfer.
Generally, only one operation can take place on a domain "at a time", so make sure you make all the changes (name servers, DNS records, contact/owner changes) BEFORE initiating the transfer.
1. First, you need to log in to the GANDI customer area.
2. Once you have logged in, go to the section for managing your domains. To do this, click on the"Domain" tab in the left-hand menu of your customer interface.
3. Click on the domain name for which you wish to retrieve the transfer code.
4. Go to the"Outgoing transfer" section to retrieve the transfer code for the domain concerned.
5. You can retrieve the transfer code for the GANDI domain by clicking on the"Copy" button behind it.

You are now able to retrieve the transfer code for a GANDI domain name in order to transfer it. Before any transfer, it is advisable to make a backup of your website data to avoid any loss.
