Introduction

Dual authentication (2FA) is an essential feature for strengthening the security of your online account. However, there may be situations where you wish to disable 2FA, whether because you are changing your authentication method or for other reasons. In this article, we'll walk you through the steps to disable 2FA on your LWS account. We'll also cover important considerations and best security practices to keep your account protected.

I. When should you disable dual authentication?

Disabling dual authentication may be necessary in certain situations. Here are some common reasons why you might consider disabling 2FA:

  • You are using a new, more secure authentication method.
  • You are experiencing problems accessing your account due to the lack of a specific authentication device.
  • You have lost or damaged the authentication device previously used.
  • You want to simplify the process of connecting to your account.

II. How do I disable dual authentication on my LWS Panel?

Step 1: Access your account security settings

To do this, go to your customer area and log in with dual authentication.

If you are no longer able to log in with dual authentication on your LWS customer area, you must request deactivation from the support department by contacting them via Livechat, Telephone or Contact form. Additional information, including identity verification, may be requested to ensure that you are the owner of the account, the only person who can make the request
.

Click on your LWS login at the top right of the display screen and click on "Edit contact details" in the drop-down menu that appears.

Bonjour,
