What is an auto-responder?

The auto-responder function in Roundcube webmail allows you to send an automatic response to all or some of the emails you receive (acknowledgements of receipt, out-of-office messages, etc.).

The procedure differs slightly depending on the graphic theme used in Roundcube. This documentation explains the two procedures depending on the theme you are using.

Procedure with the Larry? theme

This guide is valid for email addresses created on shared hosting. If you have created your mails on a VPS server, follow the last chapter of this guide.


1. Connect to the webmail of the email account for which you want to activate the autoresponder functionality

3. Go to"Filters", create a set of filters or choose the default one, then enter the name of your filter.

4. In this example, we choose to send an automatic reply to all messages received

Tick the"All messages" box, then select the"Reply with message" action.

5. Enter the text of the message, the subject, the frequency of sending (if you want the reply to be sent with each email received, or 1,2,3... times), then click on the "Save" button to activate it.

When you create the filter, in order for it to be taken into account, you must move it above the"Spam-default" filter so that it is not blocked. To move the filter, simplydrag and drop it to the desired location.

Bonjour, cela dépendra de la formule que vous disposez. Si vous disposez d'une formule mutualisée telle que LWS Perso ou supérieur, vous devriez pouvoir vous rendre sur "Paramètres/Filtres" de votre Webmail. S'il s'agit d'une formule cPanel, vous devriez trouver la fonction filtre en vous rendant sur votre interface cPanel puis sur "Filtre de messagerie" se trouvant dans la rubrique "E-mail".
